Substance use & recovery
You don’t have to arrive with the right words, a perfect track record, or everything figured out. We can start with what’s real for you today.
Lived experience. Professional care.
I’m in recovery myself.
Substance use isn’t something I only understand through training. I’m in recovery myself, and that experience shapes the compassion I bring to this work.
Your story is still your own. I won’t assume that what helped me is what you need, or ask you to follow the same path. We’ll talk about what you want to change, what’s getting in the way, and what support actually fits your life.
I’m Aunastasia Zsidiewicz, LICSW, and a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor I (CADC I). You can expect both a human connection and thoughtful clinical care.
What we can work on
Look beneath the pattern
- 01
Understand what substance use is doing for you
Relief, escape, connection, sleep—there is often a reason a pattern started. Understanding that reason gives us a more useful starting point than blame.
- 02
Build practical support for change
We explore triggers, cravings, boundaries, and ways to get through difficult moments. Together we set goals you can speak about honestly.
- 03
Make room for the underlying pain
When trauma and substance use are connected, we consider both. EMDR may be part of your care when it’s appropriate and you have the foundation for it.
- 04
Keep your life at the center
Recovery is more than a number of days. We can work on relationships, self-trust, and a life that feels more aligned with your values.
You can be honest here
If you’re questioning your relationship with substances, returning to recovery, or trying to maintain change, there’s room to talk about it without pretending things are easier than they are.
Outpatient therapy is not medical detox or emergency care. If withdrawal or immediate safety is a concern, medical assessment or a higher level of care may be needed first.
The first session is $350; ongoing sessions are $300 per hour. Online care is available across Washington & Oregon State for ages 7 and older. We’ll talk through fit and any questions before you decide to begin.
A little clarity
Questions you might have
Do I have to know my recovery goal before we talk?
No. A consultation can be a place to talk about what concerns you and what you’re hoping for. We’ll discuss whether my care is appropriate and what next steps make sense.
Can we address trauma as well as substance use?
Yes, we can consider how the two connect. Trauma processing isn’t automatically the first step; stability, safety, and your readiness guide the treatment plan.
What if I’m struggling again?
You can talk about setbacks honestly. We’ll look at what happened, what support is missing, and whether your care needs to change—not treat a difficult moment as a moral failure.
You don’t have to do this alone.
A free consultation is a chance to meet, ask questions, and see whether working together feels right.
