EMDR intensives
Sometimes you want more room than a typical session allows. An intensive creates a longer stretch of time for focused work—with preparation, breaks, and your needs at the center.
A different rhythm
More space, not more pressure
An EMDR intensive is a longer session dedicated to a specific area of your healing. Options include 90-minute sessions, three-hour sessions, and multi-day focused blocks. We’ll discuss the format and availability together.
Longer doesn’t mean pushing harder. We still make time for grounding, check-ins, and bringing the session to a manageable close. You don’t have to prove you’re ready or work through something before you feel safe enough.
Intensives are not a shortcut or a guarantee. We’ll talk honestly about whether this format makes sense for your history and current support.
Before, during and after
We plan the work together
- 01
A conversation about fit
We discuss your goals, current symptoms, and experience with therapy. We also consider whether you have the stability and support for a longer session.
- 02
Preparation comes first
We identify a focus and develop grounding resources. We clarify the session length, total cost, breaks, and follow-up plan before you commit.
- 03
Focused work, with room to pause
During the intensive, we use EMDR at a pace that reflects how you’re doing. You can ask to slow down or stop; a longer appointment never removes that choice.
- 04
A plan for what comes next
We leave time to settle and discuss what you may need afterward, including ongoing sessions when appropriate.
Is this the right fit for you?
You may be interested in an intensive if you have a specific treatment focus or prefer a longer block of time. It may not be the best starting point if you’re in crisis or need more preparation and ongoing support first.
My session rate is $300 per hour. We’ll confirm the intensive’s length and total fee directly before booking; no package price is assumed here.
